Bakugan Battle Brawlers

Story

One day, cards began to fall from the sky and were picked up by kids all over the world. The cards featured different characters, different environments, and different powers. Kids created a popular battle game not knowing that these cards actually corresponded to an alternate world called Vestroia.

In Vestroia, a rogue Bakugan named Naga lusted for control, and schemed to seize all of the power for himself. When he tried to absorb the silent core and seize its power, the negative energy proved too much for Naga to handle. The negative energy exploded and the Infinity Core fell to earth. The creatures of Vestroia started to emerge in Bakugan battles. Now it is up to Dan and the other Battle Brawlers to find the Infinity Core and reunite it with the Silent Core to restore balance. At the same time, an evil Bakugan player called Masquerade is taking away Bakugan that belong to other people. As well, a scientist called Michael Gehahbich disappeared into Vestroia. When he returned 6 months later, he came back as a creature known as Hal-G, half Bakugan-half human. Hal-G is plotting to reunite Naga with the Infinity Core to take over the world. Dan and his friends must stop Hal-G's evil plans and Masquerade.

Attributes

All Bakugan have an attribute. The humans know these as fire, water, earth, darkness, light, and wind. However, the Bakugan know them as Pyrus, Aquas, Subterra, Darkus, Haos, and Ventus, respectively. To the bakugan, there also exists two alternate powers, Silent and Infinity. They are the cores of Vestroia, home of the bakugan and are the source of ultimate power and destruction. There are also second attributes that are fusions of the original, such as Coldus, Shockus, Novus and an attribute that includes all attributes. It is called Blandus, only because it technically has no single element. It has the colour beige, and consists of Blandus-exclusive species. Each species begins with "vest" for vestroia. Blandus, as well as these "second attributes" are considered fan-fictionized canon part of Bakugan.

Brawlers

• Daniel/Dan Kuso: Dan is in command of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers. He is a 14 year old boy who is more street smart than book smart and is always looking for adventure. Dan wears his emotions on his sleeve. He is quick to react in situations and at the same time quick-tempered. He argues with Runo a lot. Dan's life revolves around Bakugan, with his greatest ambition being - the number one ranked Bakugan player in the world. He is the master of the power play and uses fire attributes in battle. Later in episode 38, it is shown that he is ranked 2nd. In addition of being a player, he also developed the rules for the Bakugan games. BAKUGAN: DRAGO, ATTRIBUTE: PYRUS. draginoid can evolve into 3 forms.

• Shun Kazami (風見　駿(かざみしゅん)): 15 year old Shun is the strong silent type and proud master of the Ventus, the wind attribute. Along with Dan, Shun co-created the rules & regulations of Bakugan and is a master of the game.He was ranked number one, until he stopped playing. He used to be the Dan's best friend, but because of his grandpa, he had to move away. Shun is a loner and a boy of very few words, yet is willing to help his friends at every turn. BAKUGAN: SKYRESS, ATTRIBUTE: VENTUS.

• Marucho(マルチョ): a 11 year old, Marucho is wise beyond his years. He studies the strategy of Bakugan, as well as being a bit of a walking encyclopedia. Marucho is the only son of a millionaire. In the Bakugan battles, Marucho devises strategy based on in-depth analysis, but sometimes misjudges his spur-of-the-moment decisions based only on data. As a sidekick to Dan, Marucho helps work out which Bakugan would be best to pit against one's opponent. He worries about all of the Brawlers, but especially Dan. Marucho is a master of combination play and uses aquas,the water attribute in battle. BAKUGAN: PREYAS, ATTRIBUTE: AQUOS. In episode 17, Marucho lost his Preyas during a battle with the 2nd rank best Bakaugan player that had been sent by Masquerade. He is reunited with Preyas in episode 22.

• Runo Misaki: She is a tomboy who is 14 year old. Runo is not your typical pre-teen girl. She loves playing Bakugan with the boys. Runo has a crush on Dan (though she denies it) and always argues with him. She also dislikes Julie because Julie flirts a lot with Dan and Runo has feelings for him. She is a pretty skilled bakugan player. runo is a haos player the light attribute. BAKUGAN: TIGRERRA, ATTRIBUTE: HAOS.

• Julie Makimoto: Julie is as 14 year old girl. She may comes off a bit scattered but Julie can compete with the best of them at Bakugan. Julie would best be described as a little princess and in conversation, she can be a little vacant. She is bubbly, extroverted and adores Dan. She is his number one fan. Julie lives in an isolated Bakugan Valley. She is a master of direct attacks and uses the subterra attribute in battle. BAKUGAN: GOREM, ATTRIBUTE: SUBTERRA.

• Alice Gehahbich: Alice is 15 years old and the granddaughter of Dr. Michael. Alice does not battle but advises the other Brawlers. Her battle knowledge is so high than even Marucho is impressed. While Alice informs the other Brawlers of her grandfather Michael's evil plans, there's something more to this seemingly innocent girl. In episode 36, she brawls with Masquerade and uses the DARKUS element but it is unknown if it is just the test of the Element lords. In the japanese episode 38 masquerade reveals his true face and its Alice. But whenever the brawlers confront masquerade, Alice is never there. She uses darkus attribute.in the episode 43 alice gonna help the dan to battle in vestrioa.BAKUGAN:HYDRANOID, ATTRIBUTE:DARKUS.

• Masquerade: Masquerade is a very mysterious character who has one goal; send all Bakugan to the Doom Dimension. Dan and his friends have tried to defeat him many times but just can't seem to beat him. Nevertheless, he is a great Bakugan player and Dan's main rival. In battle, Masquerade is so dangerous because he carries the doom card, allowing him to send the losing Bakugan to the Doom Dimension. He is teamed up with Hal-G and together, their quest is to ensure the dark side wins by drawing in all the negative energy, making Naga the supreme ruler in both Vestroia and Earth. He's a master of the darkness attribute. BAKUGAN: HYDRANOID, ATTRIBUTE: DARKUS,Masquerade is also ranked number 1. In episode 38, he took off his mask and was shown to have been Alice. In episode 39, it is explained that he is the evil side of Alice.

• Joe/ Web Master Joe: The site manager of the bakugan battle brawlers. He first appeared in Episode 16 in a hospital bed. He also brawls. His attribute is Haos. He joins the Brawlers in episode 23, and also claims to have found the Infinity Core, that resides within the bakugan "Wayvern". Joe was in the hospital for low blood sugar and was later released on the same episode. Shun thought that Joe was Masquerade, but wasn't. Joe begins to show feelings for Alice after seeing her stradegies. BAKUGAN: WAYVERN, ATTRIBUTES: HAOS AND INFINITUS. In Season II, Joe is seen with the brawlers as an official member.
  

• Shuji : A brawler who kept on losing to Dan since episode 1.

• Akira : Shuji's younger brother.

• Rikimaru: A wanna-be brawler who sought power to become the strongest brawler. In episode 3, Masquerade promised to give him such power using the Doom card. In brawler battle, he lost to Dan and his creatures. He's also another cliché villain that acts mysteries.

• Ryo : A brawler who preferred to plan for Bakugan strategies than actual battles, he fought against Dan in episode 4 after Dan had teased Ryo for his method. With Masquerade's help, Ryo was able to defeat Dan using Bakugan with lower attack points, but lost to Dan in rematch.

• Tatsuya : A brawler who challenged Dan in episode 5, after losing to Masquerade, but ended up fighting against Runo and lost.

• Kenta : A Pyrus brawler who challenged Dan and Runo in tag battle in episode 6, and lost.

• Kenji (A Darkus brawler who challenged Dan and Runo in tag battle in episode 6, and lost. Kenta's brother.

• Jenny and Jewls, Super Sync Sound: Members of JJ Lips (JJリップス)/Super Sync Sound band. On their way to concert, Masquerade recrited them to fight Dan and Marucho in episode 7, and lost in episode 8.

• Takashi : Kosuki (コースケ): A Pyrus and Darkus Bakugan user that fought against Runo and Marucho in episode 9, and quit during the middle of the battle.

• Mew : The girl who accompanied Kakashi and Hosuke during the battle in episode 9. Looking for her lost brother Makoto, she accepted Masquerade's invitation, but called for quitting the match.

• Makoto : Miu/Ai's younger brother. He appeared in airport with Dan after the match in episode 9.

• Billy Gilbert : Julie's childhood friend, and a top 20 brawler. He defeated Julie in episode 10, but later lost in rematch. In episode 14 it is shown that Billy increased his rank from top 20 to top 10, and was recruited by Masquerade and lost to Julie on episode 15 again. He uses Subterra attribute Bakugan and his guardian Bakugan is Subterra Cycloid. Subterra Cycloid gets sent to the Doom Dimension in Episode 26.He is reunited with him sometime around episodes 29 and 42.

• Klaus Von Herzen : The 2nd rank brawler that appeared in episode 14, and was recruited by Masquerade. He uses Aquos attribute Bakugan and his guardian Bakugan is Aquos Sirenoid. He sent Marucho's prized and caring Preyas to the Doom Dimension. Aquos Sirenoid gets sent to the Doom Dimension in Episode 26. He is reunited with her sometime around episodes 29 and 42.

• Chan Lee : The 3rd rank brawler that appeared in episode 14, and was recruited by Masquerade.She uses Pyrus attribute Bakugan and her guardian Bakugan is Pyrus Fourtress. Dan Kuso beat her on episode 16. Pyrus Fourtress get send to the Doom Dimension in Episode 26.He is reunited with him sometime around episodes 29 and 42.

• Julio Santana: The 4th rank brawler that appeared in episode 14, and was recruited by Masquerade. He loses a battle to Runo and Dan in episode 18. He used Haos Tentaclear in battle. Haos Tentacular get send to the Doom Dimension in Episode 26.He is reunited with him sometime around episodes 29 and 42.

• Komba O'Charlie: The 5th rank brawler that appeared in episode 14, and was recruited by Masquerade. He uses Ventus attribute Bakugan and his guardian Bakugan is Ventus Harpus. Komba lost to Shun battle on episode 15. Ventus Harpus get sent into the Doom Dimension in Episode 26.He is reunited with her sometime around episodes 29 and 42.

• Shinjiro Kuso (空操 信二郎(くうそう しんじろう)): Dan's father.

• Saki Misaki (美咲 早紀(みさき さき)): Runo's mother.

• Tatsuo Misaki (美咲 達夫(みさき たつお)): Runo's father.

• Shoko Marukuma (丸蔵 祥子(まるくら しょうこ)): Marucho's mother.

• Shiori Kazami (風見 栞(かざみ しおり)): Shun's mother.

• Miss Purdy: Dan's female class teacher.

• Dr. Michael Gehahbich (ミヒャエル・ゲーハビッチ)/Hal-G(ハル・ゲー): Alice's grandfather. An elderly researcher in his fifties, he was the first human to discover a portal between an alternate universe, known as Vestroia, & our world. One day, a dimensional transporter experiment sent Michael to Vestroia, where he met Naga. When he returned to Earth, 6 months had passed on Earth. Cards and Bakugans appeared on Earth during his absence, then he discovered the mechanism allowing Bakugan to be released on Earth via the battles. When he re-entered Vestroia, Michael was quickly sucked up by the evil force of the Silent Core & transformed into a megalomaniac scientist known as Hal-G. As Hal-G, he immediately recruited Masqerade in an attempt to help him destroy all the Bakugan standing in his way, by obtaining the Infinity core.

• Kato: Marucho's butler that debuted in episode 14.

Main Bakugan

• Pyrus Dragonoid/Pyrus Delta Dragonoid/Drago (ノヴァ・ドラゴノイド)/Nova Dragonoid (ドラゴ): (voiced by Jason Deline) Dan's guardian Bakugan. He is a gigantic dragon-like Bakugan from "Pyrus": a space attributed to fire. He is one of the most powerful species living in Vestroia, able to infinitely evolve on his own. In battle, his power is to radiate heat from his body, dissolving everything around him. He is the leader of the Bakugan; a true knight with strong convictions and deep friendship with Dan. During Shuji's Bakugan rematch against Dan in episode 1, Drago emerged from the playing field and joined Dan. Unlike other bakugan creatures, it is capable of breaking the effect of cards. He evolves into Delta Dragonoid in episode 22, and again in episode 37

• Aquos Preyas (アクア・プレデター)/Aqua Predator: (voiced by Shawn Meunier) Preyas is a chameleon-like Bakugan & is Maruchos' guardian Bakugan. He's from the "Preyas Species" living in "Aquos": a space attributed to water. Preyas has the ability to change his molecular structure, due to his peculiar nucleus, to take on the characteristics of all the attributes: Pyrus, Subterra, Haos, Darkus, Aquos and Ventus. In contrast to his appearance, he has a very quirky sense of humour. He's completely dedicated to Marucho. He joined Marucho 6 months after it had appeared on Earth and eventually entered Marucho's new home in Episode 7. He can't evolve but he lays Angel/Diablo Preyas like an egg in Episode 30. Preyas evolves, but he gets fatter and his colours change.

• Haos Tigrerra (ルミナ・ティグレス)/Lumina Tigress: Tigrerra is Runo's guardian Bakugan. She's from the "Tigrerra Species" living in "Haos": a space attributed to light. Inside her body is a gigantic blade, capable of cutting any substance in the human world. She's very human in nature & trusts Runo completely: prepared to protect her no matter what. Tigrerra can also evolve. The bakugan simply appeared with Runo in episode 3. Tigrerra evolves in episode 32, A Tigrerra is also seen in the preview for episode 42, with Darkus and Pyrus colorings.

• Subterra Gorem (サブテラ･ゴーレム)/Subterra Golem: Gorem is Julie's guardian Bakugan. He is from the "Gorem Species" living in "Subterra": a space attributed to Earth. His entire body is composed of exceptionally hard cell bodies, which makes him a Bakugan with a very heavy body. He's gentle & obedient, but when he's angry, no one but Julie can calm him down. Gorem has an enormous shield that it uses to defend and weaken attacking bakugan. Like Drago, Subterra Gorem can also evolve. Gorem appeared in Julie's bedroom in episode 10 after she had tried to find her talking Bakugan in Bakugan Valley and failed. Gorem evolves in episode 29

• Ventus Skyress (ゼフィロス・フェニックス)/Zephyros Phoenix: Skyress is a bird-beast life form & is Shuns' guardian Bakugan. She's from the "Skyress Species", living in the space attributed to wind: "Ventus". Skyress has a gigantic wing span & numerous long tails. At the tips of her tails are three sharp feathers. She's clairvoyant & can see through objects; however, the ultimate ability of Skyress species is the ability to resurrect. She can also evolve. Skyress made its debut in episode 11, but Shun had received it from his ailing mother as a gift. Skyress evolves in episode 31

• Darkus Hydranoid (ダークオン・ヒュドラ)/Darkon Hydra: Hydranoid is Masquerade's Bakugan. He is from the "Hydranoid Species" living in the space attributed to darkness: "Darkus". His entire body is composed of a highly intelligent, independent cell structure. Though his mobility in battle is slow, he's mercilessly cruel and unforgiving. Masquerade has complete power over Hydranoid. He is Hydranoid's ultimate evil master. Hydranoid made its debut in Episode 12. Hydranoid also evolves into a 2-headed beast in Episode 26, and into a 3-headed beast in episode 37. It is Alice's bakugan.

• Darkus Reaper (ルシフェル)/Darkon Lucifer: A Darkus Bakugan that frequently used by Masquerade to eliminate rival Bakugan. It had also been used by Ryo, Kenji. Their Reaper can talk like Masquerade's version can talk. Masquerade's own Reaper was later sent to doom dimension by Hydranoid during Dan vs. Shun and Masquerade match in episode 13.

• Subterra Cycloid (サイクロプス)/Subterra Cyclops: Billy's talking Bakugan, first appeared in episode 10. Cycloid joined Billy when one day Billy found the Bakugan in Bakugan Valley. It wields a giant hammer. He has also been sent to the doom dimension in episode 26.

• Wavern: Naga's twin sister. The Infinity core is inside her. She is a dragonoid and is highly intelligent when it comes to bakugan. She is the bakugan of joe. Shes from an unknown attribute but registered in brawls as Haos. It is believed that she likes Drago.

• Naga: A power-hungry Bakugan. He seeks to obtain the power of the Silent Core and the Infinity Core. He is the one manipulating Masquerade from the start.

Other Bakugan

These Bakugan species come in many colors.

• Wayvern: The sister of Naga, she too is a Dragonoid but has absorbed the Infinity Core to battle Naga. She is Joe's guardian bakugan.
• Naga: The brother of Wayvern, he is an infected Dragonoid. He has absorbed the Silent Core to battle Wayvern. He is supposedly Hal-G's guardian bakugan.
• Angel/Diablo Preyas: The bakugan spawned from Preyas.
• Zephyros Storm Pheonix: A Evolution of Skyress.
• Hammer Golem: A Evolution of Gorem.
• Beestriker: A bee-like bakugan with a deadly stinger.
• Centiploid: A centpede with huge pincers.
• Cycloid: A large cyclops that wields a giant hammer.
• Delta Dragonoid: The evolution of a Dragonoid bakugan. It had metal plated armor with a trident-shaped tail and enormous wings.
• Dragonoid: A dragon bakugan with large wings and the power to cancel out abilities of cards.
• El Condor: A creature that looks like a Totem Pole Shaman with an amazing ability to fly.
• Falconeer: A humanoid falcon.
• Fear Ripper: A strange-looking humanoid with oversized claw-like hands.
• Fourtress: A large, muscular humanoid with four faces.
• Gargonoid: A humanoid creature that has the face and wings of a gargoyle.
• Gryffon: A humanoid griffin.
• Harpus: A harpy bird bakugan with large feathery wings for arms.
• Hydranoid: A dragon creature with a very strong armour, revolting face and a sharp flail for a tail.
• Delta Hydranoid: The evolved form of Hydranoid, it has improved armour and two heads. It can now stand up on two feet unlike it's previous form.
• Hyenoid: A Hyena with a more humanoid body, like a werewolf.
• Juggernaut/Juggernoid: A huge turtle-like creature.
• Laserman: A large robot with shoulder-mounted laser cannons.
• Limulus: A manta ray bakugan fully surrounded in heavy armour.
• Manion: A sphinx with a female human head.
• Mantris: A mantis bakugan.
• Monarus: A female humanoid fairy with butterfly wings.
• Preyas: A lizard/chameleon bakugan with the ability to change it's attribute.
• Rattleroid: A rattle-snake bakugan with a metal tail also has the ability named poison fangs
• Ravenoid/ Falconeer#2: A humanoid raven.
• Reaper: A humanoid, horned skeleton with deadly long wings and a long scythe.
• Robotallian: A large robot with strange shielding that appears to have holes in certain areas.
• Saurus: A human-like triceratops.
• Serpenoid: A large snake.
• Siege: An armored humanoid knight with a lance.
• Sirenoid: A female Mermaid-like bakugan with long robes playing a harp staff.
• Skyress: A phoenix bakugan that has three long, jeweled-tip tails and has the ability of clairvoyancy.
• Stinglash: A scorpion with a human-like head.
• Terrorclaw: A large crustacean-like creature.
• Tentaclear: A large eye that emits a shining beam that blinds other Bakugan.
• Tigrerra: A tiger bakugan with sharp blades implanted in its body.
• Tuskor: A large elephant/mammoth with huge tusks.
• Wayvern:A dragonoid creature which happens to be Nagas good twin sister, only one Wayvern is in the world.
• Warius: A tall armoured human wielding a mace.
• Wormquake: A large worm with a huge, gaping mouth full of razor-sharp teeth.
